The project consisted of the construction of a new Medical Office Building and Ancillary Surgical Center. The MOB is 5-stories and includes various medical office areas.

The Surgical Center is a single-story mini-hospital with a footprint of approximately 40,467 square feet. The ACS was designed for future expansion to the 2nd and 3rd floor.

On-site improvements included faculty and visitor parking areas, emergency drop-off areas, covered walkways, stormwater drainage, sanitary sewer infrastructure, and associated utilities as well as a DOTD designed multi-span bridge over Ward’s Creek.

Stratum Engineering completed a comprehensive subsurface investigation for the development which included drilling approximately 40 soil borings and provided recommendations for foundation, pavement and other site development designs. SE was retained to provide full-time testing and inspection services during construction and continued to assist with engineering consulting services throughout the project. Our testing and inspection services were provided using a fully equipped on-site laboratory facility.
